Supply Chain Specialist

to support its Distribution department. This role is essential in ensuring the timely and accurate flow of materials throughout the supply chain while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting cross-functional coordination. Responsibilities: Core Duties: Coordinate inbound and outbound material logistics via ocean, air, rail, and road transportation. Manage internal routing of materials and workflow to support production schedules. Ensure inventory accuracy across receiving, staging, transfers, and goods issues in the ERP system. Review and adjust bill of materials as needed. Analyze Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reports and define procurement plans to meet demand. Essential Functions: Collaborate with Planning, Quality, Customer Service, and Production teams to align ERP and physical inventory records. Maintain appropriate inventory levels and implement cycle count programs. Work with Quality on managing non-conforming materials and sorting processes. Optimize warehouse space and conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies. Partner with Sales, Purchasing, and Planning teams to identify stressed, aged, or obsolete inventory. Establish procurement strategies considering cost, capacity, and lead times. Coordinate with freight forwarders for domestic and international shipments. Lead or support digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain. Requirements: Bachelors degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 2 years experience in a supply chain role, ideally in a manufacturing or regulated industry. Strong proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and databases (e.g., Access). Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. Demonstrated problem-solving and time-management abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical device or regulated production environments. Familiarity with WMS and scheduling software. ASCM CPIM certification.
