Description
The Senior Supply Chain Manager leads the strategic planning and execution of end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning). This role is accountable for driving operational efficiency, optimizing working capital, improving service levels, and aligning supply capabilities with business demand and revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead supply chain strategy development and execution to support business growth, operational excellence, and financial targets. Oversee procurement, supplier performance, and cost-reduction initiatives across direct and indirect materials. Drive demand/supply alignment through effective SIOP planning, including forecasting, capacity planning, and scenario modeling. Manage planning teams responsible for master scheduling, material planning, and production control. Own inventory health, turns, and optimization strategies, including excess & obsolete reduction initiatives. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and sales to ensure supply readiness for new product introductions (NPI) and engineering changes. Implement and improve ERP/MRP system processes to enhance supply chain visibility and responsiveness. Monitor and report KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, on-time delivery (OTD), and supply plan adherence. Develop and mentor a high-performing team of planners, buyers, analysts, and logistics staff. Lead cross-functional root cause investigations and corrective actions for missed deliveries or supply disruptions. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in sourcing, planning, logistics, and systems integration. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred). 8-10+ years of progressive supply chain experience in manufacturing or industrial operations. 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role with cross-functional team responsibility. Strong expertise in SIOP, MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, D365), and advanced planning tools. Demonstrated success in cost reduction, supply continuity, and inventory optimization initiatives. APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) strongly preferred. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
