Job Title: Business Data Analyst & Platform Specialist Rate: $40 $60/hr Visa: USC, GC Location Fountain Valley, CA CLIENT OVERVIEW: We are looking for a Business Data Analyst & Platform Specialist to support our growing analytics ecosystem. This role combines business-focused data analysis with hands-on administration of key analytics platforms such as Tableau Server and Alteryx Server. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for data, a knack for problem-solving, and technical skills to support both users and infrastructure ABOUT THE ROLE: RESPONSIBILIES: Business Data Analysis & Reporting o Partner with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights. o Design, build, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that support decision-making. o Analyze existing models runs, performance metrics, KPIs, and data flow on regular basis to assure operational stability. o Translate business questions into analytical solutions using SQL, Alteryx, and other tools. Platform & User Support o Administer Tableau Server and Alteryx Server, including user access, permissions, and scheduled workflows. o Serve as the first point of contact for user support, resolving tickets and inquiries related to data tools and dashboards. o Monitor platform performance and coordinate with IT or vendors to resolve technical issues. Automation & Process Improvement o Develop lightweight scripts or workflows (e.g., SQL, Python, Alteryx) to automate data preparation and reporting tasks. o Document processes, best practices, and platform configurations to support knowledge sharing and operational efficiency. REQUIRED SKILLS: Bachelors degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in a data analyst or analytics support role Proficiency in Tableau (dashboard development and server usage). Experience with Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server administration. Strong SQL skills; familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is a plus Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with data governance, access control, and platform security Experience working with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure) Exposure to orchestration tools and distributed processing frameworks such as Apache Airflow, Spark, and Hadoop Hands-on use of tools like JupyterHub and Hue for SQL-based querying and data exploration Experience with version control systems, including GitLab, for collaborative development and workflow management Key Responsibilities: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and data quality checks Extract insights from various data sources Build basic dashboards and visualizations Collaborate with internal teams to support open-source data solutions Required Skills: Intermediate SQL: Ability to write queries and manipulate datasets Basic Python: For scripting and light data processing (not heavy programming) Familiarity with data visualization tools (Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, etc.) Comfortable working with publicly available datasets Preferred Tools: Proficiency in Tableau Experience with Alteryx is a plus but not required Interested candidates email your resume to chandra@amtexenterprises.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
