Overview
Provides daily management of the Claims and Billing Department. Responsibilities include developing processes to monitor billing outcomes, overseeing charge entry into the Patient Accounts Department, analyzing rejections, and updating the Practice Management System. Assists with internal communication and implements strategies to reduce errors and rejection rates. Develops policies based on billing needs, collaborates with other departments to troubleshoot operational issues, and manages access to insurance carriers' websites for eligibility verification. Approves timesheets and manages staff work schedules. Supervises and trains clerical staff, ensuring proper and timely billing, including claims processing, denials, resubmissions, and appeals. Supports fiscal controls and recommends process improvements. Reviews manuals and regulations, conducts operational studies, and handles complex billing issues and appeals. Coordinates with various hospital departments and prepares reports. Provides support to staff as needed. Eligible remote states include NC, FL, GA, SC, SD, TN, TX, and VA. Department Description
