Description

Glasgow State Nursing Facility (GSNF) may be the place for you. Weare a state-of-the-art 100-bed long-term care nursing facility for individuals with mental illness orintellectual disabilities. We are seeking a Administrative Specialist Senior to join our team in caring andimproving the daily lives of our residents.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performs professional support to the Facility Director in developing, implementing and maintaining variouscomplex programs, projects or activities. May supervise subordinate employees. Implements and maintains Resident Account Records Program - Including Social Security, Court and Guardian Records. Coordinates the facility policies and procedures. Develops tracking system for updates and schedules reviewsby Facility Supervisors, Central Office and cabinet employees. Maintains committee and meeting minutes. Participates in committee and work groups. Tracks, reviews and maintains physician credentials. Maintains facility Safety Data Sheets manual. Provides oversight offacility databases. Processes, monitors and reports outside training requests and weekly on call listings. Procures and maintains required licenses for the facility. Assures administrative duties within the facility have been completed, maintains files, schedules, reportsand correspondence as required by the Facility Director. Assists with survey process and plan of correction including participation in Mock Survey. Conducts investigations and serves in an on-call rotation. Performs other duties as required. The ideal candidate would have:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer skills. Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
