The ASG Presales Solutions Engineer - Identity collaborates with account teams to assess customer data center environments and design tailored infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives. This role involves building technical relationships with OEMs, providing training to sales teams and customers, managing the solution practice pipeline, and engaging with various client contacts to identify technology opportunities across Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, and Services spaces. This position is remote but may require reporting to the Austin, Texas office as needed. Role Responsibilities
Evaluate customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies. Design and propose tailored infrastructure solutions. Build and maintain relationships with OEMs and partners, staying updated on products. Provide product training and technical education. Partner with Field Account Executives as a trusted IT advisor. Manage the solution practice pipeline and develop strategies for prospects. Identify technology opportunities in Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, Collaboration, and Services. Develop solutions aligned with customer needs and budgets. Engage with CIOs, IT Directors, CTOs, and other contacts for account management. Educate sales teams on technical selling, products, and trends. Required Behaviors and Competencies
Effective presenting, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills. Proactive problem-solving and innovative thinking. Ability to develop documentation standards and ensure operational efficiency. Results-oriented leadership capabilities. Skill Level and Experience Requirements
3-5 years in similar roles, with experience in complex Data Center sales and infrastructure design. Knowledge of virtualization, hypervisors, SDDC, automation, and related technologies. Experience with technologies from Dell, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Azure, AWS, Veeam, Nutanix, etc. Ability to communicate complex technical solutions effectively. Other Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience. Willingness to travel for events. Advanced certifications in relevant technologies preferred. Compensation and Benefits
Base salary ranges from $72,000 to $161,000, with estimated OTE of $120,000 to $230,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, and flexible spending. Additional Information
