About the role SURMOUNT, a premier real estate investment and brokerage firm is looking to a hire Office Coordinator / Receptionist for their New York City office. The Office Coordinator / Receptionist will be primarily focused on greeting all visiting including employees, clients, and guests, and connecting them with the appropriate team contacts. This person will be the welcoming face of the firm, and also be responsible for answering phones, directing calls, taking messages, and maintaining a log of incoming visitors. Additionally, this person will perform a variety of administrative duties including maintaining office supplies, managing the office pantry / kitchen, assisting with meeting and event preparation and catering, and other special projects as needed.
Responsibilities · Create a positive first impression as you greet clients, guests, and visiting employees · Answer and direct incoming calls, taking messages, and maintaining a log of incoming visitors · Manage incoming and outgoing courier and other packages or mail · Assist with conference room set up, food ordering, and meeting / event preparation · Maintain office supplies and kitchen / pantry needs · Demonstrate confidence, professionalism, responsiveness, and exceptional customer service skills · Assist with special projects as needed
Required Qualifications · Minimum 1 year of experience in a Front Desk, Reception, and/or administrative role ideally within the financial services, real estate, or sales/marketing industries · Bachelor’s or equivalent Degree · Proficient in a range of information technology tools and platforms · Excellent organization and communication skills, both oral and written · Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) · Ability to provide a great experience internally and externally · A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment · Ability to maintain a positive attitude
Compensation for this role is approximately $20-25 an hour.
