Firm Advice is conducting a search for a Senior / Corporate Counsel on behalf of a highly regarded, mission focused government contractor headquartered in Northern Virginia. This attorney will report to the general counsel and work with business and technical teams to draft and negotiate federal government and commercial agreements for the sale and purchase of products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collegial, high-functioning environment. Provide legal advice to multiple internal departments and management teams, on strategic initiatives in government contracts, FAR and DFAR compliance, commercial contracts, and ethics. Review, draft, and negotiate government and commercial contracts. Assist with internal and external as well as other corporate matters.
REQUIREMENTS JD and license to practice in at least one state in the US; ability to be admitted to VA Bar as Corporate Counsel. 8 plus years’ government contracting experience. 8 plus years’ experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. Experience with business integrity / ethics program and compliance preferred. Willingness to learn new practice areas preferred. Must be detail oriented.
