This is step three and final step to qualify for this position which includes but not limited to installs, maintains, and repairs equipment, physical structures, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems for an industrial establishment. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Basic operating principle for running a Form & Weld group Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery Troubleshoots machines and equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations to diagnose problem or repair machine. Ability to use measuring equipment plus read mechanical blueprints. Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts Lays out, assembles, install /maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic /pneumatic equipment. Which includes but not limited to repairs, replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment Uses individual knowledge for various specialty applications (i.e. HVAC, electrical, lubrication, etc...) Electrical qualified but not limited to - electrical PPE, electrical schematics, minor trouble shooting, fuse replacement, ect Core Competencies: Problem Solving skills Technical skills Customer Service Interpersonal Skills Communication Skills-Oral and Written Ability to work as a team or individually Good work ethic-efficient, effective, accurate, organized, conscientious, dependability, punctual, etc... Meets Company standards (i.e. goals and objectives, production quotas, project deadlines, etc...) and with high quality Adaptability-changes in the work environment, production demands, priorities, methods, direction, etc... Takes initiative Innovative/Resourceful Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience At least 1-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, diagrams, blueprints, sketches, engineering specifications, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Demonstrated math skills relating to the job Demonstrated troubleshooting and reasoning ability Must have technical experience within a manufacturing facility working with hydraulics, pneumatic, electrical, compressed air, etc... Must follow appropriate safety precautions and protocols Must have experience using measuring instruments such calipers and micrometers Must be able to obtain Confined Space and Respirator certifications Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, or crawl Frequently required to climb or balance Must be able to lift 25lbs, at times may be asked to lift more Specific Vision Requirements-close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust to focus Environment is non-climate controlled Production floor is typically loud
