PAYROLL SPECIALIST
to provide support in Metro Detroit, MI. You will be the primary person processing end-to-end payroll for 500 employees with assistance from the Payroll Manager.

About the Role : This position is full time, direct hire, and in office. Location:
Starts in Warren, MI and moves to Troy, MI in the fall
Responsibilities : Provide payroll operations ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs. Enter new employees into the system. Maintain employee changes in the system such as addresses, banking, and deductions. Retrieve timesheets from 3 field offices for processing, verify hours worked. Enter data, update and reconcile payroll balance sheets. Calculate and track PTO. Apply any garnishments, deductions and payroll corrections. Resolve any pay or deduction discrepancies. Execute payroll run. Provide support for payroll questions. Prepare payroll reports.
Qualifications : High School Diploma required. Some college education is highly desired. 5+ years of payroll processing experience is required. Full cycle experience from retrieval of timesheets through paycheck production is required. Required Skills : Able to calculate and track PTO, process bonuses and special pay, process all types of garnishments and payroll deductions. Good time management. Good communication skills. Able to take responsibility as the sole person processing payroll (With backup support). Dependable person with good attendance. Good math, person who enjoys working with numbers. Computer skills: Word, Excel, and experience with Payroll software. Ceridian Dayforce software experience is a plus.
Pay range and compensation package : PAY: $60,000 to $70,000 annually based on skills and years of relevant experience.
