Employment Type: Contract Location: Tucson, AZ Duration: 12+ months with possible extension Pay range: $26.06/hr. - $28.06/hr. Work Mode: Hybrid or On-site (frequent travel among regional facilities required) Schedule: Mon – Fri (Standard Business Hours)

Job Summary: The Health Systems Optimization Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, training, optimization, and maintenance of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. This role involves collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and effective use of EHR/EMR systems.

Key Responsibilities: Configure, manage, and optimize EHR/EMR systems and related clinical IT tools. Analyze clinical and business needs to define system requirements and solutions. Lead EHR-related change management and support training initiatives. Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions with staff and vendors. Collaborate on clinical data reporting, system upgrades, and workflow improvements. Maintain documentation of workflows, training guides, and compliance processes. Support the development of clinical templates and reporting tools. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and data exchange standards. Act as a subject matter expert and mentor for clinical teams regarding EHR best practices. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and travel frequently to regional facilities.

Required Qualifications: Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 3+ years in EHR/EMR system management and implementation 3+ years in business analysis, systems applications, or healthcare operations 1+ year in project management or implementation

Certification:

EHR certification Technical Skills:

Experience with EHR systems (Athena preferred), strong PC proficiency

Preferred Qualifications: Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field Experience: 7+ years in EHR/EMR system management Experience in ambulatory or medical group settings Experience in training and supporting EHR applications

Skills: Proficiency in tools like Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio Strong critical thinking, analytical, and leadership abilities Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, 42 CFR)
