Job Responsibilities
Program CNC mills using Camworks. Must also be able to program and operate one or more of the following Specialty machines: CNC Grinder, CNC High Speed Mills or Wire EDM. Must be capable and willing to train other machinists, showing them the proper way to use common shop Machine tools and inspection equipment Set up and operate various types of machine tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, etc., selecting proper feeds and speeds Work from drawings, sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions to make parts. Reading complex prints, designs, able to transfer in and out of CNC machines Must be able to read G & M code. Makes fixtures for machines Perform hand operations such as filing, fitting, tapping, etc.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma, or equivalent 10+ years' experience in a machine shop is required Experience with 3-axis milling is required 5+ years CNC mill programming experience Experience with CAMWorks and SolidWorks or equivalent CAM and CAD software is required Experience with 5-axis milling is preferred EDM experience preferred Knowledge of precision measuring devices Work to close tolerances The ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and sketches Advanced shop mathematics skills Broad knowledge of machine shop practices Proven mechanical aptitude
