Ainsley Search Group is hiring a Sr. Supply Buyer/Planner for a fast growing, Global Manufacturer located in Chester County. The ideal individual will report to the Purchasing Manager and work closely with Supply Chain, logistics, warehouse, Manufacturing to plan for inventory of direct materials, develop the proper replenishment of direct and packaging materials based on forecast and production capacity among multiple plants, procure and replenish direct materials with overseas and domestic suppliers and collaborate with Logistics to ensure on-time deliveries. Responsibilities: Report to Purchasing Manager to oversee direct materials inventory, packaging supplies and finished goods stock level among multiple sites, ensure proper safety and cycle stock level to accommodate daily and short-term production capacity. Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Warehouses, based on demand forecast and production capacities, manage and plan supplies, determine replenishment strategy to avoid inventory shortage or overstock issue. Plan inventory movement on raw materials and packaging materials using MRP/ERP. Create purchasing orders and release order to overseas and domestic Suppliers, collaborate with logistics and commodity management team to ensure vendor performance meets corporate policy and compliance, ensure on-time delivery on PO. Monitor suppliers’ performance; ensure compliance on supplier lead-time, delivery, and quality. Issue RFQ and RFP to suppliers, review contract and supplier quotes to determine best purchasing practice and further achieve optimal purchasing process. Follow up with suppliers on orders status; follow up with 3PL on shipment arrival date. Generate reports on supplier performance, alert management with supplier issues. Conduct quality check on in-bound shipment and process returned orders to suppliers. Collaborate with Global Headquarters on short-term and long-term replenishment planning, suppliers’ management, etc. Handle sudden changes of customer orders, demand, and production, and modify raw material replenishment and inventory level based on changes. Analyze supply chain and purchasing data to identify bottles and areas of improvement, ability to translate data to real life scenarios and develop action plans to resolve issues and drives improvements.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Recent 3+ years’ work experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Planning, exposure to high volume, high mixed manufacturing environment is a plus. Solid experience with MRP/ERP. Solid experience with Excel. Problem solver and solid analytical skills, keen in process improvement and lean practice. Able to pass background check and drug screen.
