We’re excited to welcome a Full-Time Landscape Architect/ Designer to our team in Stow, OH! In this dynamic role, you will play a key part in projects from design to construction. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and be passionate about design, knowledgeable in construction practices, and able to manage projects from initial site analysis through to construction documentation and estimating. What You’ll Be Doing: Project Collaboration:

Work closely with sales and project managers to ensure smooth execution throughout all phases of a project, from concept to completion. Base Plan Development:

Create accurate base plans by identifying existing site features (e.g., residences, walls, walkways, driveways, trees) and delineating property lines, setbacks, and utilities. Design & Presentation:

Develop compelling design and sales presentations for both residential and commercial projects, showcasing creative solutions tailored to client needs. Project Estimating Support:

Gather and compile accurate site and project data to support cost estimating, assisting sales and project managers with timely, informed decisions. Construction Documentation:

Produce detailed construction drawings, including hardscape layouts, planting plans, and irrigation designs to guide seamless project handoff to production teams. Learning & Innovation:

Actively engage in continuous learning while contributing creative ideas and design improvements that enhance overall project quality. Site Analysis:

Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions, take precise measurements, locate utilities, and identify opportunities and constraints. Concept Development:

Design innovative, functional concepts that align with client goals, site constraints, and regulatory requirements. Visual Communication:

Create visually engaging presentation materials—such as rendered site plans, mood boards, and 3D models—to clearly convey design intent to clients and stakeholders. Construction Detailing:

Prepare comprehensive construction documentation, including layout plans, grading and drainage plans, planting schemes, and technical construction details. 3D Modeling & Visualization:

Produce high-quality 3D renderings and virtual walkthroughs using tools like SketchUp, Lumion, or equivalent software to support client presentations and approvals. Cost Estimating & Takeoffs:

Generate detailed material takeoffs and cost estimates; support budget development and value engineering as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Coordinate closely with project managers, estimators, and construction teams to ensure that the final built project aligns with the design vision. Permitting Assistance:

Assist in preparing documentation and plans required for local permitting and regulatory submissions as needed. What you need to succeed: Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or similar required 5 years of experience in the landscape industry required Proficiency in Vectorworks or AutoCAD preferred Able to translate comments, redlines, and sketches into working drawings/documents Skillful with presentations utilizing Photoshop, SketchUp, Lumion, and hand rendering Tech-savy, including expertise with Microsoft Office Skilled in managing a high volume of tasks and enjoy meeting deadlines Skillful with construction drawing, including construction detailing, dimensioned layouts, and grading plans Job Type: Full-time
