Scope of the Role In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of import team members while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Partner Government Agency (PGA) regulations. You will serve as a key liaison between clients, government agencies, and internal teams, providing proactive communication, issue resolution, and exceptional service.
What You Get To Do Manage the daily operations and performance of the customs entry team, ensuring timely, accurate import clearance processing and compliance with regulations. Collaborate with our Import Manager to align daily brokerage activities with broader operational goals. Assist in workload distribution and ensure all import entries are compliant with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Partner Government Agencies (PGA) regulations. Track and report on team performance metrics, identifying trends, addressing gaps, and driving continuous improvement through coaching, training, and process enhancements. Serve as a compliance resource by staying current on U.S. Customs and PGA regulations and coaching the team on classification, documentation, and entry procedures. Respond to customer and regulatory inquiries, including audits, PSCs, protests, and refunds.
What You Bring to the Team 10-15 years of experience in customs brokerage industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or team lead role. Possess deep knowledge of all customs brokerage functions as a subject matter expert, adept at problem solving and mentoring team members. Proficiency in CargoWise. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word). Strong organizational, time management, and follow-through skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Japanese, Mandarin, or other languages a plus. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated experience managing, developing, and motivating high-performing teams. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Food classification experience a plus. Customs Broker License a plus.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $72,000 - $80,000 USD annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills and experience.
