We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join a high-performing, detail-oriented HR team. This position is fully on-site and requires a hands-on professional who excels in collaboration, accuracy, and strategic execution across departments.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Payroll & HRIS Transactions Enter, manage and audit high-volume HRIS and payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and changes. Maintain accuracy and consistency in data entry to support payroll processing and HR reporting. Collaborate with payroll and accounting teams to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies.
Benefits & Compliance Administration Administer and support all benefits-related processes, including enrollment, billing, and coordination with vendors. Ensure compliance with 401(k) audits, 5500 reporting (health & welfare), COBRA regulations, and ACA requirements. Support employee leave programs including FMLA, STD, LTD, and workers' compensation.
Records Management & Reporting Maintain complete and compliant personnel files (I-9s, EEO, COBRA, etc.). Use intermediate Excel skills for reporting, audits, and compliance tracking. Generate actionable HR metrics to support informed decision-making.
Admin Coordination of Employee Support Schedule and organize benefits orientations, safety trainings, and employee support events. Assist with the H2B seasonal hiring process by collecting and submitting required documentation for visa compliance. Provide administrative support for targeted recruitment initiatives and onboarding of specialized roles. Support department-wide communications and HR project coordination to improve employee engagement and process efficiency.
What You Bring: Seven (7+) years of HR, payroll, or accounting experience with benefits and compliance responsibilities. Proficiency with HRIS systems and payroll platforms. Strong Microsoft Excel skills for reconciliation, audits, and data tracking. Working knowledge of self-funded and self-billing plans preferred. Experience supporting H2B hiring/documentation processes is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Employee relations experience (2+ years) is a bonus.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment: Frequent use of computer and paper documentation systems. Lift/carry up to 35 lbs occasionally; push/pull, bend, squat, kneel as needed. Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures.
