This is a compelling opportunity to be a part of an exciting new food brand as we operate within a critical growth stage. David is led by CEO Peter Rahal, the Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR ($600M exit to Kellogg in 2017). We have strong aspirations to become the most popular high-protein bar in North America and beyond.
Role and Responsibilities : The E-commerce Product Manager will be responsible for leading execution, net-new implementation, maintenance, and continuous performance optimization of our Shopify site and surrounding digital experience. This person will play a critical role in shaping how customers interact with David online, ensuring our website is fast, easy to use, and drives strong conversion and retention.
Reporting to the Director of Customer Experience, this role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of CX, product, and digital ops. You’ll partner with teams across the business to identify friction points, prioritize impactful site updates, and continuously test new ways to improve performance.
While this is not a software engineering role, the ideal candidate will have a working understanding of Shopify’s theme architecture and common tools in the e-commerce ecosystem, allowing them to write precise specs, evaluate tradeoffs, and confidently drive execution with internal or external technical partners.
E-commerce Roadmap Management:
Translate business goals and site performance insights into a prioritized development backlog for our Shopify ecosystem. Work with internal teams and external developers to deliver features and optimizations that improve conversion, order value, and retention through hands-on implementation and technical delivery. Web Development Management:
Write detailed product requirements, manage external developers, and lead QA testing to ensure feature quality and on-time delivery. Website Implementation:
Leaddirect updates to our website to maintain theme integrity and resolve bugs or UX issues. Tech Stack Oversight:
Evaluate, manage, and optimize our app ecosystem (subscriptions, reviews, upsells, analytics) to improve speed, stability, and ROI. Cross-Functional Execution:
Collaborate with Growth, Supply Chain, and Service teams to translate insights and requirements into technical solutions that improve the customer journey and operational reliability.
What you’ll bring : 3+ years in e-commerce, product management, or digital experience roles—ideally at a high-growth CPG or DTC brand, or an agency working with similar clients. Proven ability to lead product roadmaps and prioritize features that drive conversion, retention, and customer satisfaction. Hands-on experience with Shopify, including managing themes, apps, and technical vendors. Familiarity with tools across the e-commerce stack is a plus — Klaviyo, Gorgias, Stay AI, Extensiv, or equivalent. Comfort working alongside designers, engineers, marketers, and CX teams to turn insights into shippable improvements. A track record of designing A/B tests, launching UX enhancements, or simplifying user flows based on both data and intuition. Strong instincts for customer-centric design and a sharp eye for UX edge cases, errors, and broken logic. Clear communicator who can write detailed specs, ask the right questions, and drive alignment across teams. A mix of product thinking and builder energy—you like making things better, and you move quickly to make it happen. Proficiency in liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (strongly preferred)
Practicalities : This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week — when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together. Salary: $100 - $140K per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets. Company equity opportunity on top of cash compensation. 100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance. 401(k) with 4% match. Additional perks, such as covered gym expenses. Substantial and required PTO.
Application Process : Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis. The target start date for this role is in August/September 2025.
