We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our dynamic team. As an Architectural Drafter, you will play a crucial role in transforming architectural concepts and designs into precise, technical drawings. The ideal candidate should possess strong drafting skills, proficiency in CAD software, and a keen understanding of architectural principles. The Architectural Drafter will collaborate with architects, designers, and other team members to produce accurate and comprehensive drawings that serve as the foundation for construction projects.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drafting and Design: Interpret architectural sketches, plans, and specifications to create detailed and accurate technical drawings. Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to generate 2D and 3D models of architectural designs. Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and project specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with architects and other team members to understand design objectives and project requirements. Participate in design review meetings to provide input and make necessary adjustments to drawings.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details. Update and revise drawings based on feedback and project developments.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to identify and rectify errors or discrepancies. Ensure drawings align with project standards and specifications.
Communication: Effectively communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address inquiries and provide clarification on design elements.
Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines. Prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines without compromising accuracy and quality.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Degree or diploma in Architecture, Drafting, or related field is preferred. Proven experience as an Architectural Drafter in a professional setting. Proficiency in using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.). Strong understanding of architectural principles and construction techniques. Knowledge of building codes and regulations is preferred.
