This is an exceptional opportunity for a forward-thinking nursing education leader to shape the future of undergraduate nursing programs. As the Director of Undergraduate Nursing Programs (ASN & BSN), you will guide two cornerstone programs within a large, diverse School of Nursing and Health Professions. With a focus on academic excellence, faculty mentorship, and student success, you’ll play a pivotal role in preparing the next generation of registered nurses and nurse leaders. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs. Oversee curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation in alignment with accreditation and regulatory standards. Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and support faculty while promoting ongoing professional development. Lead accreditation and compliance efforts to ensure ongoing adherence to ACEN, CCNE, and state board requirements. Develop strong clinical partnerships to secure high-quality clinical placements. Monitor and assess student outcomes, guiding continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a resource and mentor to students, fostering a supportive academic environment. Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. Champion innovative teaching methodologies, including hybrid and online modalities. Contribute to the growth and sustainability of the programs through thoughtful planning and community engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Nursing Unencumbered RN license in Connecticut (or eligibility for licensure) At least 3 years of academic leadership experience in a nursing program Experience in curriculum development, accreditation, and regulatory compliance Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Nursing (PhD, DNP, or EdD) Experience as a program or assistant director Background in grant writing, student retention initiatives, and faculty development Familiarity with interprofessional education models Experience in hybrid or online education delivery Leadership experience in an LPN program is a plus
