Job Summary:
Responsible for sourcing both direct and indirect materials based on ERP system data and engineering BOM updates. Ensure materials are procured on time to meet production requirements while maintaining cost-effectiveness and adequate stock levels through collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
Job Duties:
Issue purchase orders for raw materials, components, and services to support manufacturing operations Monitor and manage open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and prevent shortages Keep production teams informed of material availability through schedule updates and regular communication Resolve urgent supply issues promptly to avoid disruption in production Negotiate supplier agreements for goods and services, ensuring accurate pricing is reflected in the ERP system Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to manage inbound shipments and adjust for lead-time changes Recommend and monitor safety stock levels to prevent inventory gaps Manage assigned commodities and ensure inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts Handle non-conforming materials by initiating NCRs, coordinating returns/replacements, and processing credit transactions
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business, or a related discipline 3–5 years of purchasing experience, including supplier negotiations Demonstrated ability to achieve cost savings through effective negotiation Working knowledge of industrial supplies and manufacturing equipment Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems (LN preferred) and Power BI is a plus
