We are seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer/Specialist to manage sourcing and procurement activities for engineered components and systems for our solution business. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret engineering specifications to identify sourcing requirements Collaborate with solution, engineering, and quality teams to align procurement strategy with design intent and lifecycle needs Identify cost-effective and technically suitable suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components or systems. Manager RFQ/RFP processes, perform cost analysis, and support supplier selection decisions Negotiate pricing, lead time, quality terms, and technical compliance with vendors Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, including qualifying new sources Address sourcing risks, long lead time items, and obsolescence concerns in early project design phases Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality or delivery issues in collaboration with QA and operations teams. Ensure procurement documentation aligns with compliance, traceability, and documentation control requirements Track cost savings, delivery timelines, and sourcing KPIs
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Technology, or related field. 8+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain engineering. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel. Experience in hardware, electronics, automation, or energy sectors. Familiarity with quality and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, RoHS, ITAR, MIL-STD). This role is responsible for coordinating with engineering, product, and solution delivery teams to identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers that support integrated hardware-software-service solutions across our business lines. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, procurement experience in solution or system-level sourcing, and the ability to manage supplier relationships in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities Solution-Based Sourcing Lead procurement for engineered-to-order or configurable solution projects involving power systems, robotics, automation, or digital components Work with technical teams to translate system requirements into sourcing specifications and supplier qualification criteria Source components, subsystems, and value-added assemblies such as UPS, controls, sensors, frames, software modules, or integrated panels Supplier Management & Negotiation Identify and develop strategic supplier partnerships, ensuring cost, quality, lead time, and compliance goals are met Lead RFQ/RFP processes, cost analysis, and supplier negotiations for high-mix, low-volume or project-based buys Negotiate master agreements, frame contracts, and service-level expectations with solution and technology vendors Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a key liaison between engineering, project management, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure technical alignment and delivery readiness Support solution design reviews and contribute input on cost optimization, manufacturability, and supply risk mitigation Ensure procurement documentation supports BOMs, technical drawings/specs, and solution lifecycles Procurement Strategy & Process Improvement Contribute to category strategy development for solution and system sourcing (e.g., powertrain, industrial PC, AI modules, robotics kits) Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance, total cost of ownership, and risk management Monitor industry trends and technology advancements relevant to strategic sourcing
