Position Summary:

A well-established architecture and engineering firm is seeking a highly capable

Project Architect

to join its Albuquerque studio. This role is ideal for professionals with 7-10 years of experience who are technically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading and mentoring staff. The position emphasizes hands-on production and team guidance rather than full project management. Candidates should have experience working on public-sector and community-oriented projects such as municipal buildings, courthouses, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, recreation centers, and senior centers.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development of construction documents using Revit Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior staff Coordinate with consultants and integrate their input into design documentation Conduct site visits and prepare field reports independently Review contractor submittals and RFIs; assist in construction administration Research materials, systems, and codes for incorporation into project work Prepare presentation materials and assist with client-facing deliverables Support quality assurance and ensure compliance with internal standards Collaborate with project managers and design leads to meet project goals Foster a collaborative and productive studio environment

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an NCARB-accredited program 7-10 years of professional experience in architectural design and documentation Licensure strongly preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure will be considered Advanced proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite Strong understanding of building systems and applicable codes Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior staff Experience with public-sector and institutional projects including:

Municipal and civic buildings Courthouses Healthcare facilities K-12 schools Recreation and community centers Senior centers
