Summary
The Plant Engineer will support both the production and maintenance departments by leading the design, development, and execution of a wide range of plant projects. This role is integral to optimizing plant performance, ensuring equipment reliability, and contributing to process improvements.
Key Activities
Lead and implement mechanical, electrical, and electronic projects across the plant. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing plant operations. Assist in shutdown planning and execution. Manage equipment specification, procurement, and installation. Work directly with vendors, suppliers, and contractors as needed. Gain and apply a strong understanding of plant processes through training and hands-on involvement. Provide troubleshooting support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in safety, maintenance, and operational meetings as required.
Preferred Skills
Proven ability to lead plant-level projects from planning to implementation. Hands-on mechanical aptitude; electrical and instrumentation knowledge a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively across departments.
Educations & Experience
Engineering degree preferred but not required. Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or plant settings preferred. Experience in ethanol, biofuels, or process industries is a plus. Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or plant settings A MUST.
