Summary
The Plant Manager will ensure efficient production, enforce quality and safety standards, and lead continuous improvement initiatives, while driving operational excellence and team engagement.
Key Activities
Lead and manage all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality control, inventory, and shipping. Ensure production targets are met in terms of quality, output, and cost. Implement and enforce safety, environmental, and health policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop, coach, and mentor plant personnel to build a high-performing team. Monitor and control operational budgets, reducing waste and improving plant efficiency. Coordinate with cross-functional departments including Supply Chain, Sales, and Engineering to meet customer demands. Oversee raw material planning, inventory control, and vendor management. Drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Maintain machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime through preventive maintenance. Support new product launches, process optimization, and automation initiatives.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO, FDA, or BRC Packaging. Knowledge of sustainable packaging trends and recycled plastic processes. Bilingual communication skills (optional based on region)
Educations & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred). must have experience in plastics manufacturing, specifically, Extrusion and Thermoforming. strong leadership skills.
