We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Prepress Manager
to lead our prepress department across our
Livermore and Santa Rosa
locations. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to manage a high-performing team and optimize technical workflows critical to our printing and production operations. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in prepress technologies, outstanding leadership capabilities, and a strong understanding of flexographic and digital printing processes.
What You’ll Do Leadership & Team Management Oversee and mentor a team of Prepress Technicians Conduct performance reviews, manage scheduling, and drive team development Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement Workflow & Quality Optimization Develop and streamline prepress workflows and production scheduling Ensure high-quality output of artwork, plates, dies, and proofs Conduct regular quality audits and troubleshoot issues proactively Collaboration & Communication Serve as a key liaison between clients, vendors, and internal departments (production, sales, customer service) Work cross-functionally to ensure timely and budget-conscious prepress execution Present reports on performance metrics and department KPIs to leadership Technology & Resource Management Manage and maintain prepress equipment and software (Adobe Suite, Esko, HP Indigo, etc.) Stay ahead of industry trends to recommend upgrades and process improvements Oversee departmental budgeting, inventory, and vendor relationships
Qualifications 7–10 years of prepress experience; 3–5 years in a management role (label printing preferred) Expertise in
flexographic
and
HP digital indigo printing Proficiency in
Adobe Creative Suite, Esko, imposition software , and Mac OS Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or equivalent experience
Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $85,000–$115,000/year , depending on experience $10,000 Retention Bonus
– paid in two installments after 12 and 18 months of continuous employment Hybrid work schedule
