This role is critical in ensuring final printed materials meet customer specifications and company quality standards.Key Responsibilities:File ProofingReview files for completeness, correctness, and printability (bleeds, color profiles, image resolution, fonts, etc.).Create digital or hard-copy proofs for internal review and customer approval (PDF proofs, Epson color proofs).PlatemakingOperate Computer-to-Plate (CTP) equipment to image and process printing platesInspect plates for accuracy, resolution, and quality before releasing to pressroom.Archive digital files and plate data according to company standards.Perform basic maintenance and calibration of platemaking and proofing equipment.Quality Control & WorkflowMaintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the workflow.Monitor job ticket instructions, color targets, and imposition layouts.Ensure all materials produced adhere to company SOPs, customer requirements, and press specifications.Communicate with production staff regarding schedules, priorities, and any identified issues.Maintain an organized and clean working environment.Qualifications:Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience with CTP systems a plus (e.g., Kodak, Heidelberg, Screen, Agfa, or Esko).Familiarity with offset and digital, print processes a plus.Skills & CompetenciesKnowledge of PC Windows and MAC OSKnowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).Lifting plates/materials up to 40 lbs.Working around chemical-based platemaking equipment.Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Salary:$18.00/hr to $25.00/hr
