Compensation & Benefits:
My client provides a competitive salary based on experience, along with a quarterly bonus structure linked to billable hours. Position Overview:
The firm is seeking to hire 1-2 Labor and Employment Litigation Associates (defense) to join its esteemed practice in Downtown Los Angeles. The firm welcomes candidates with 2 or more years of experience (will consider 10+ year candidates) in employment defense litigation to take on significant case responsibilities in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Dependent on seniority, serve as the lead attorney on employment-related cases, overseeing all stages with support from a cohesive team. Conduct court appearances, prepare discovery materials, and lead depositions with confidence and skill. Prepare for and participate in mediations, pre-trial activities, and trials, ensuring exceptional legal representation. Provide consistent client updates, maintaining clear communication and strategic alignment.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years (will absolutely hire senior level candidates as well) of experience in employment defense litigation; expertise in areas such as Wage & Hour, PAGA, or FEHA is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates with plaintiff-side experience are welcome to apply if they possess transferable skills. Strong case management skills and the ability to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented setting. Active membership in the California Bar in good standing.
