The Company is headquartered in the southeast part of Fort Worth and operates across 25 branches in large and growing metropolitan areas across the Southwest, Southeast and Great Plains.

Position :
Chief Operating Officer : The COO will oversee all operations, reporting directly to the CEO, and be the key executive in ensuring efficient, profitable, and culturally aligned execution across all branches. They will spearhead technology enablement, integration of acquisitions, financial performance, and operational excellence with a people-first mindset. The COO’s role is to drive CEO strategic initiatives and company efficiencies in order to fuel internal growth. The right COO will help form a dynamic leadership team between the CEO, CFO and themself. The COO will inspire and lead company leaders to realize their team’s potential.
Location:
Position is onsite in southeast side of Fort Worth with 10% travel (likely more in first 3 months); if living in Dallas, a hybrid schedule can be worked out.
Compensation : 275k-350k (DOE) + 40%-50% bonus opportunity + equity; Full benefits and 401k with match.
Operational Strategy & Execution Lead all day-to-day operations across roofing divisions, ensuring standardization across regions (esp. replicating successful playbook) Oversee greenfield market entries with scalable, repeatable operational models Improve efficiencies throughout the organization in an effort to maximize profit margins Mitigate risk by ensuring all branches are adhering to all federal, state and local regulations, as well as internal training and safety guidelines Help establish processes that will enable local branches to achieve success in their local market, while being held accountable to transparent goals
Acquisition Strategy & Culture Integration Review, enhance and implement the M&A playbook Lead post-acquisition onboarding, ensuring seamless assimilation into the Quick Roofing culture and operating model Retain positive legacy elements while driving alignment with centralized systems and culture. Collaborate on acquisition pipeline and due diligence Retain critical personnel through the acquisition transition through clear communication and departmental support
P&L Management & Financial Discipline Own operational P&L performance; co-lead monthly executive reviews to identify and resolve profit leaks Implement full cascade of accountability from department heads to Regional VPs to individual branches, each owning a live P&L Tie financial performance to compensation metrics at all levels
Team Development & Communication Build strong relationships with all department heads; foster cross-functional cohesion Collaborate with IT and Accounting to co-create operator-informed KPIs Train managers to lead through data, culture, and trust
Sales Strategy & Structure Partner with Sales VPs to implement KPI-driven sales models tied to compensation Continue transitioning sales teams from 1099 to W-2 for better alignment and control Assist sales team to onboard new national clients (i.e. REITs, property management companies, insurers) while ensuring execution in the field. Establish commercial division leadership; support through estimator hiring and profit control
Procurement & Vendor Relations Optimize purchasing by aligning procurement strategy with sales and vendor priorities Build strong relationships with distributors and manufacturers; understand influence points and decision-makers Leverage partnerships for competitive pricing and talent access Streamline supply chain for cost efficiency and margin improvement
Human Capital & Organizational Development Work closely with internal HR team to attract, vet, and retain culturally aligned talent Use internal trainers to replicate DFW success across all branches Identify process weaknesses and redesign onboarding and training for consistency and scalability
Ideal Candidate Profile 10-15 years in a senior leadership operational position Roofing, construction, building products distribution, or residential service industry experience Proven M&A experience at a private equity-backed company Strong P&L, financial oversight
