Primary Purpose:
Complete training to earn Commercial Drivers License and become a district bus driver.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Ability to obtain a valid Texas commercial driver's license within allotted time
Special Knowledge/ Skills:
Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively
Experience:
None
Major Responsibilities and Duties: Work with transportation staff to successfully complete CDL training Perform duties of a Bus Monitor as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for the position.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling; moderate lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside; work around vehicles and machinery with moving parts; moderate exposure to extreme temperatures and vehicle fumes.
Must be able to evacuate self and students out of the bus in case of an emergency.
