The Production Planner schedules, and coordinates the flow of work and materials to drive supply chain sources within or between departments according to the production schedule. Responsibilities
Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Resolve the day-to-day issues within Production Control and with other departments; Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; Provide updates on all programs to Management and report any issues that may impact production schedule; Continuous improvement of processes and procedures; Place purchase requests for non-inventory materials; Create Manufacturing Orders and monitor shortages; Provide buy item focus list for daily standup meetings; Working with the Purchasing department to make sure that parts are ordered and arrive on time; Perform other duties as directed. Required Experience/Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or above; Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel; 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment Must be a highly analytical thinker and problem solver. Preferred Experience/Qualifications
Experience as an planner in a manufacturing environment Experience in a manufacturing environment in planning, scheduling, and reporting; Experience with ERP systems with an MRP focus (CostPoint a plus); Working knowledge of CostPoint Detail oriented and organized person Special Requirements/Security Clearance
Candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined in the ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20). Physical Demands
Ability to stand and walk for long periods; lifting up to 30 lbs
