Purpose/Summary Are you outgoing and like helping others? Then the TRIO Program Student Representative work-study is perfect for you!
TRIO Programs, are designed to assist limited-income and/ or first generation students and community members. As a TRIO Programs Student Representative, you will be the face of the office, therefore ensuring everyone who comes our is scheduled an appointment or leaves with answers. Duties and Responsibilities
Greeting and assisting students and potential clients for two TRIO programs (EOC/SSS) by phone and in person. Will explain application processes, describe services, and screen participants/ general public for eligibility requirements for both TRIO programs; schedule appointments; complete reminder and outreach calls; tabling for programs; providing referrals to partnering sites; most importantly provide excellent customer service to participants and general public.
Ability to work with customers Strong communication skills Ability to interpret written instructions Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Quick learner, self-motivated,ability to work independently or in a team setting. Bilingual Interested in working with students and community/grant funded programs. Qualifications
Will gain knowledge in regards to grant funded programs. Learn how to use Microsoft Office, gain communication and organization skills. Gain experience serving diverse populations. Possibility to grow within the department, as an intern.
Any- Great for 1st job- will help gain office work experience and development. Social/Psychology/Human services- Due to providing assistance/helping others. Supplemental Information
