Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-focused Dental Equipment Sterilization Specialist to join our clinical team. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all operatories, instruments, and equipment are meticulously cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for patient care, thereby sustaining a safe, compliant, and efficient dental practice.

Schedule: PRN position, Monday - Thursday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sterilize, disinfect, and prepare dental instruments and equipment in accordance with established protocols.
  • Monitor and operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of sterilization supplies and initiate reorders as necessary.
  • Ensure operatories are fully stocked and prepared for various dental procedures.
  • Assist the clinical team by efficiently turning over rooms for patient care.
  • Adhere to infection control and OSHA guidelines, maintaining a clean and compliant environment.
  • Organize and store sterilized instruments in designated areas.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and monitoring of sterilization equipment.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for procedures as required.
  • Keep accurate sterilization logs and documentation.
  • Be open to additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Experience in a clinical environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards.

The salary range for this role is $18 - $20 per hour.
