Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience in head, neck, and body scanning for a night shift position in an acute care setting. Responsibilities Work in an acute care radiology department specializing in ultrasoundDepartment has 4 ultrasound rooms: 2 designated for outpatient and 2 for inpatient examsNight shift schedule from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Tuesday through FridayUnit scans head, neck, and body; does not perform MSK or vascular studiesAverage of 30–40 scans performed per 10-hour shift across 4 technologistsUses GE and Philips ultrasound equipment, as well as Epic and McKesson PACS for documentationNo requirement to float to other departmentsCall schedule includes limited weekday and weekend call with a 30-minute response policy, typically with advance noticeWork within a supportive team led by a Lead Tech with a Radiologist onsiteDepartment provides light blue scrubs or allows personal scrubsOrientation period of 1–2 weeks based on experienceHoliday coverage is voluntary; travelers may decline holiday shifts if not neededRegistered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) are utilized within the departmentReturning employees must not have been employed by the facility or associated systems in the past year Requirements Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Sonographer performing head, neck, and body examsCurrent BLS, RDMS, and RDMS-Abdomen (ARDMS) certifications requiredActive state or compact (NLC) licensure required if applicable; pending licenses and certifications are not acceptedExperience using Epic EMR and McKesson PACS preferredMust provide copy of driver’s license for considerationTwo professional references required: one supervisor from the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 OptionsGenerous Housing AllowanceNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUs401(k) PlanTraveler Rewards and DiscountsTravel and Licensure Reimbursements
