SENIOR COPYWRITER
Like a midlevel Copywriter, you love concepting and executing great ideas. You do all the things you did previously, but now you’re able to sell your own ideas, and are eager to and often invited to present your work in client meetings. Clients and co-workers respect your talents and opinions. You’re an example to creatives below you, and rather than compete with them, you actively help them succeed. You are one of the go-to teams for big opportunities, and you also create your own opportunities. You make small assignments bigger, and on big assignments, you come through with awards-worthy solutions. You can execute your ideas all the way through production. You have a great attitude and thrive on success.
Responsibilities
Concept and craft great creative work. Take feedback well. Work well with your art director partner. Lead video, print, and experiential production efforts. Have a firm grasp on what globally recognized award-winning work looks like and can make it. Showcase an understanding of digital, social and emerging platforms and technologies. Partner well across departments (with Strategy and Account Services) to create great creative work. Participate in new business pitches. Inspire and challenge creatives within your group to make the best work of their lives and elevate the agency work.
Qualifications
4+ years of advertising experience required. A general understanding of the creative experience in an advertising, digital or media agency (or all of the above.) A portfolio of creative work to assess creative thinking and writing skills. Initiative and a get it done attitude. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Willingness to learn and take feedback from others. Ability to work under pressure and deadlines. Good production experience with broadcast and social shoots.
