Role Summary
The Executive Assistant solves administrative support processes and problems for a Vice President (VP) at Alaska Airlines. As an individual contributor, this role focuses on providing administrative assistance with calendaring and appointments, phone and written communication support, travel arrangements and call screening.
Key Duties
Solves a range of complex, sensitive and confidential administrative and office problems for the VP. Focuses on calendaring and appointments, phone and written communication support, travel arrangements and call screening. Attends key meetings, tracks and helps drive completion of key deliverables, and ensures project commitments assigned to staff are met in a timely manner. Under the direction of the VP, reviews, proofreads, and formats all correspondence prepared for VP’s signature, exercising judgment and conducting research when necessary to screen for accuracy and completeness, as well as consistency with organizational policy. Exercises discretion and professionalism to communicate in a confidential nature, understanding company policy and the executive's views and philosophy. Administers office management support to maintain a productive office environment including submitting work orders, processing invoices and expense reports, ordering office supplies, and maintaining corporate files in accordance with retention policies. Performs analytical special projects including budget projects, staffing forecasts, and organizational charts.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
Bachelor’s degree, or 2 years of experience in administrative support or related area in lieu of this degree. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment. Positive, proactive approach, with the ability to have fun at work and help others do the same. Strategic and creative thinking skills, with an analytical mindset. Ability to exercise good judgment and use discretion while maintaining sensitivity to confidential matters. Demonstrated ability to maintain balance among multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening), with ability to draft and prepare highly professional correspondence. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). A valid driver’s license and auto insurance. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum age of 18. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary Range
$78,000-- $89,750 / year
Salary Details
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
Note:
We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
