Media Relations Develop and implement annual and 3-5 year plans to engage key media including: Identify and research media outlets, producers, editors, and reporters who could support the organization’s mission Pitch and secure stories for placement that further key messages Execute media engagement strategies including holding a minimum of twice yearly media briefings to keep key media contacts updated on our plans Develop and maintain key media assets including media kit (press release, factsheets, etc.), photos and videos, story bank, bios and photos of senior management and spokespeople Prepare, coach, train designated media spokespeople for media interviews Serve as the key media contact including responding to media enquiries in a timely manner, coordinating with the spokespeople (including partners if needed) Track and report effectiveness of media engagement efforts Content Creation and Distribution (external and internal) Develop, write, and produce content to engage and educate audiences across various channels, including newsletters, website, intranet, social media, and marketing collaterals Oversee development and production of corporate collaterals, including annual report, brochures, videos and any marketing materials for key events Track and report effectiveness of content creation and distribution efforts Digital Communications Oversee the development and maintenance of the website Manage and update the social media pages to engage stakeholders and increase awareness/conversation on key issues Track and report effectiveness of social media posts and engagement/sentiment of the different audiences Brand Manager Responsible for ensuring consistency of the organization’s branding across channels, media, and platforms Ensure that the brand guide is updated, relevant and comprehensive, and made available to relevant stakeholders Track and report brand perceptions Operations Establish the media library and manage media archival for corporate memory purposes Responsible for daily news monitoring and events media coverage reporting (seasonal) Help manage and drive publicity for organizational events and campaigns including developing email invitations, marketing materials, etc. Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Marketing/Communications/Public relations or any related disciplines At least 3 – 5 years of relevant working experience Good relationship and a network of media contacts Working knowledge of social media tools and able to give advice on design, photography, videography & positioning Excellent written and oral communication, editing and presentation skills Speak effectively in public, promote teamwork, well-organized and detail-oriented Salary range: $4.5K to $6.5K/mth
