What the role entails: TKD is seeking a Senior Marketing & Business Development Specialist (SMBDS) to join the marketing team. Under the direction of the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer (CMBDO), the SMBDS will plan and execute multifaceted initiatives to grow the firm’s client base and raise the profile of the firm, its practices, and its attorneys. The SMBDS works on a wide range of projects, including events and conferences, pitches and proposals, print and online collateral, industry and prospective client research, and more. Essential responsibilities include: Work directly with the CMBDO and partners to develop and implement business development plans, strategies, and programs for practices and individual attorneys. Support the development and maintenance of collateral and pitch materials: Prepare and manage pitches, proposals, and responses to RFPs.Includes writing and editing tailored content for specific opportunities, conducting research, and tracking submissions. Draft edit, and proofread practice and industry descriptions, attorney bios, and similar materials. Manage the library of marketing collateral and an organizational system for proposals and pitches. Collect and manage the firm’s experience in the CRM, including clients and experience descriptions. Plan and manage all aspects of seminars, networking events, webinars, sponsorships, conferences, CLEs, speaking engagements, and other events. Ensure external events are successful investments by prepping attorneys in advance, prompting follow-up efforts, and tracking/maximizing ROI. Assist with practice group meetings, including developing agendas and meeting notes. Support a cross-collaboration strategy between various practice groups that align with the firm's long-term strategic plans. Help maintain the web content: coordinate publishing of case studies, events, alerts, advisories, and other client-focused communications. Collaborate with attorneys and the communications manager to prepare industry surveys and award nominations, such as Chambers and Best Law Firms. Collaborate with the communications manager on social media for practices and events. Identify opportunities for thought leadership and content marketing. Keep apprised of market, client, and competitor trends, and disseminate information on key developments and actionable information. Assist with lateral partner integration. Assist with other marketing and business development activities as needed, including firm-wide initiatives. Qualifications and skills: Bachelor's degree required. 5-7 years of marketing or business development experience at a professional services firm; 2+ years at a law firm preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational and project management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines. Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive attitude. Demonstrated ability to professionally interact and collaborate with colleagues at all levels. Commitment to professional growth and development. Ability to prioritize and manage workload independently and as part of a team. Outstanding sense of customer service. High level of integrity, honesty, poise, and tact. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience using CRM and design software (Canva and Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. Flexibility to work overtime when necessary. All applicants applying for U.S. openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States. TKD is currently maintaining a hybrid schedule structured as Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in-office with the option to be remote Mondays and Fridays. The good faith base annual salary range for this position is a minimum $110,000 to a maximum of $125,000. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, applicable education/certification(s), office location, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm.
