Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a proactive and driven Human Resources Generalist with a strong focus on employee training, development, and retention to join our corporate team. This hybrid role supports day-to-day HR operations while playing a key role in building a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and long-term employee engagement across our organization.

The ideal candidate is people-centered, highly organized, and passionate about developing others. You'll manage core HR functions while creating and leading training programs, supporting onboarding, and helping employees and managers thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and feedback from leadership. Design, develop, and deliver engaging onboarding, orientation, and professional development training. Create or source manuals, job aids, and course materials for a variety of learning styles and platforms. Lead training sessions in person and virtually using formats like lectures, simulations, discussions, and video. Track training progress, attendance, testing, and recertification needs in a learning management system (LMS). Evaluate training program effectiveness and continuously improve content based on feedback and results. Stay current on best practices in learning, development, and instructional design.

HR & Employee Relations

Act as a front-line resource for employee questions related to benefits, leave, and company policies. Support supervisors in handling performance issues, disciplinary actions, and personnel documentation. Assist in managing employee relations, including investigations and conflict resolution. Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes and benefits deductions. Lead onboarding efforts and ensure new hires receive necessary training and support for success. Assist with retention strategies, employee engagement initiatives, and career pathing programs. Maintain accurate personnel files in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist, Training Specialist, or similar role. Demonstrated ability to create and deliver effective training programs in a professional setting. Strong understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and employee relations. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ADP and LMS platforms preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to travel up to 25% to locations across Texas.
