Job Title: Director, Digital Marketing

A little bit about our team:

The mission of the Warner Records Marketing team is to drive fandom, music consumption, direct-to-consumer (D2C) purchases, and social conversation/engagement through innovative digital marketing strategies. The team is responsible for all aspects of an artist’s overall marketing presence, including digital narrative development, digital advertising, social content ideation, influencer campaigns, CRM, social/digital partner activations, content seeding, websites, etc. We work directly with artists to translate the vision of their music into groundbreaking campaigns and provide in-depth creative consulting tailored to growing a highly engaged fan base.

Your role:

The Director of Digital Marketing will oversee high-level digital marketing campaigns for top-tier artists at Warner Records. The position will be responsible for developing campaigns that create cultural conversation, build artist social followings and engagement, and drive music consumption. You will be a digital expert in all things Rock and Pop, as well as familiar with the leading industry standards for digital marketing in the music industry.

Here you’ll get to:

Develop and execute disruptive, digital-first campaigns for some of the world's most iconic artists. This role blends cultural intelligence, content innovation, and fan-first thinking to build campaigns that spark discovery, ignite fandom, and drive commercial impact across streaming and physical formats Design holistic digital strategies—including short-form content and viral activations—that amplify each release and expand reach across core fans and new audiences Activate superfans across fan-forward platforms like Discord, Reddit, and Twitter/X—fueling grassroots momentum and creating digital word-of-mouth at scale Identify viral opportunities and lead quick-strike marketing initiatives to capitalize on real-time cultural moments Monitor campaign performance in real-time and make agile, data-informed optimizations to maximize engagement and conversion Conduct post-campaign deep dives to surface insights, learnings, and benchmarks that inform smarter, sharper future campaigns Collaboration with CRM and Paid Media leads to craft omni-channel fan journeys that drive retention, growth, and first-party data capture Partner with D2C and Commerce teams to launch high-converting physical product drops, integrating marketing strategy with merch, vinyl, and collector releases Coordinate with artist management and internal stakeholders to shape and maintain a unified editorial calendar across all social platforms Work hand-in-hand with Creative to ensure all content—from short-form video to interactive design—feels cohesive, intentional, and on-brand across the campaign ecosystem

About you:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Minimum of 7+ years professional experience in digital/social media marketing, direct-to-consumer marketing, and/or related fields, preferably at a Record Label or music management company Outstanding organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and expertise in social media content strategy Innate ability to lead and mentor Passion for fan-focused digital strategies with a problem-solving attitude to see projects through completion Ability to excel in a fast-paced, tight timeframe, and team-oriented environment Knowledge on how to “move the needle” online, be it driving consumption, engagement, or growth Proven leadership experience in team discussions and client meetings Impeccable follow-up and follow-through A deep professional understanding of interactive technologies and communication tools, including: TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, YouTube, Snapchat, Discord, Website strategy, Email/CRM strategy A passion for rock and pop music Experience with viral creator campaigns and relationships with agencies and creators Experience with content seeding

We’d love it if you also had:

Photoshop, Illustrator, or other graphic design knowledge Experience using project management software such as Monday and Basecamp Understanding of social media analytics and posting tools such as Chartmetric Record Label experience People management skills Catalog marketing experience

Salary Range

$100,000 to $120,000 Annually

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
