We are currently looking to add an
Industrial Maintenance Technician
to our team in Elizabethtown, PA. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production equipment, systems, and infrastructure operate efficiently and safely to minimize downtime and support continuous production.
Primary Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of electromechanical equipment including motors, sensors, conveyors, control panels, pumps, and PLC-driven machinery. Conduct routine preventative maintenance according to established schedules to minimize equipment failure and downtime. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to support repairs and installations. Install and calibrate new machinery, components, and control systems as part of new equipment setup or upgrades. Identify root causes of mechanical or electrical failures and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and system performance using maintenance tracking systems (CMMS). Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support equipment reliability and process improvements. Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed in compliance with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and electrical codes. Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements or replacements of worn or outdated components. Respond to emergency repair requests and participate in on-call or shift coverage as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, mechanical drive systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, test meters, and diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with PLC systems and basic troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent). Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Technical diploma, associate degree, or formal training in industrial maintenance, electromechanical technology, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience working with automated production equipment and control systems preferred.
Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined or elevated spaces. Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and crawling during equipment inspection and repair. Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and machinery in a manufacturing setting. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
