Position Title: Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD)
Reports to: Operations Manager
Employment Status: Full-Time
Location: Seattle, WA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Position Summary
Aldevra, LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) to support the VA Puget Sound Health Care System (Seattle VAMC). The CMD will be responsible for generating accurate radiation treatment plans and dose calculations in accordance with physician prescriptions and standards set by professional organizations. The role involves adherence to policies for radiotherapy planning, patient safety, quality assurance, and equipment operation, aligning with our core values of SOAR (Strong Integrity and Ethics, Outstanding Teamwork, Accountability-Driven, and Relentless Pursuit of Quality).
Responsibilities
- Medical Dosimetry: Carry out dosimetry functions under certification, receive guidance from radiation oncologists and physicists, and oversee dosimetry services and QA activities.
- Treatment Planning: Perform treatment planning for SRS/SRT, HyperArc, IMRT, SBRT, and IGRT, designing plans to deliver prescribed doses and considering dose-limiting structures.
- Simulation & Tumor Localization: Assist with treatment simulations, tumor localization, and perform fusions for CT, MRI, PET-CT as needed.
- Device Fabrication & Adjustment: Oversee fabrication of beam-modifying devices and immobilization devices.
- Implementation of Treatment Plans: Support radiation therapy staff in implementing treatment plans, ensuring correct use of devices and variables.
- Dosimetric Calculations: Perform and verify calculations for dose delivery, documenting all in patient files.
- Support to Medical Physicist: Provide dosimetry support in machine calibration, radiation protection, and quality assurance.

Requirements
- Must maintain VA Badge and pass extensive background check.
Qualifications
- Certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) with at least 2 years of recent experience.
- Experience with QA procedures, ACR or APEX certified healthcare systems, Varian Linear Accelerators, IGRT, Eclipse treatment planning system, GE CT Simulator.
- Excellent communication, detail-oriented, patient-focused, and able to multitask.
