Tesla . Tesla is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer in the Autopilot and Electronics Product Design team to work on low voltage electronics modules. The scope of work includes infotainment devices such as antennas, accessories like wireless phone chargers, electronics control units, etc., across various Tesla vehicles. The engineer will lead the mechanical design for these systems, with opportunities for various experience levels - Senior, Staff, etc. What You'll Do

Work closely with cross-functional teams on system architecture and develop implementations. Optimize vehicle components considering performance, design, integration, size, mass, and assembly. Participate in prototype builds, component fabrication, testing, and validation efforts. Provide hands-on support modeling and designing mechanical components and assemblies including plastic, sheet metal, die cast, etc. Conduct mechanical design analysis such as structural, tolerance, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), and design for assembly. Generate detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation of mechanical designs using CATIA. Collaborate with other teams to take designs from prototype to production. Support development of engineering and reliability test plans, analyze test data, troubleshoot design issues, and communicate with suppliers regarding DFM (Design for Manufacturing) feedback and tooling/support for assembly. What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design. Experience in developing antenna/RF modules. Proficiency in CAD software (preferably CATIA) for 3D modeling and drafting. Familiarity with FEA tools (preferably ANSYS). Experience from initial concept to mass production. Basic understanding of electrical and thermal fundamentals, PCBAs, and electronics packaging. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform first principles analysis. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams. Benefits
