Responsibilities
Facilitates the development and implementation of contracts for RBIR mechanical program;
Present progress to WMATA executive management, the Metro Board of Directors, and the General Manager as needed;
Provide recommendations on complex engineering issues with innovative approaches;
Develop Project Management Plans to coordinate contract budgets, schedules, and risks for the Tunnel Vent Shaft Rehabilitation Program;
Establish and communicate schedule and cost variances with KPIs;
Lead and attend weekly program meetings with WMATA personnel and document progress;
Ensure compliance with WMATA procedures and safety guidelines;
Manage engineering requirements, program policies, and regulations;
Manage the program with minimal supervision;
Onboard personnel and oversee design reviews;
Use industry-standard techniques to execute work, manage contracts, and report to management;
Generate and disseminate task deliverables and status reports;
Assist with contract closeout and lessons learned documentation.
Background and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, business, or related field;
At least 20 years of experience managing large projects;
Proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules;
Knowledge of working in a government environment.
Salary Range $110,000 to $166,000 per year
