Construction Facilitator

Responsibilities include:
Coordinating field work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper scheduling and execution in accordance with WMATA policies, minimizing impacts.
Reviewing plans, drawings, specifications, regulations, safety standards, and other documents to evaluate contractor performance and identify potential site conditions.
Assigning daily duties and work schedules to Construction Inspectors, briefing them on directives, drawings, schedules, and expectations.
Instructing Inspectors on quality inspections and interfacing with other contracts or third-party activities.
Coordinating work schedules among contractors and disseminating updates; conducting random checks of Inspector reports and work progress.
Developing solutions for field problems, recording resource use, and conducting material quantity checks.
Managing contractor lookahead schedules, weekly work plans, RSA requests, SOWs, and reports.
Managing Crew Support Personnel, tracking access and switch orders, and coordinating WMATA equipment and work train requests.
Supporting staffing, resource management, and financial reporting tasks.
Performing additional project duties as assigned.
Background and experience required include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5 years’ experience as a Construction Inspector or related roles, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating responsible project management skills. Experience with infrastructure projects, large project coordination, and familiarity with WMATA procedures are essential. Must complete WMATA’s Railway Worker Protection Certification and possess strong communication and technical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is required.
Salary Range: $59,000 to $92,000 annually.
