A bit about us:

This role is dynamic in that it will cover various areas of corporate accounting. The company is extremely stable and provides a very lucrative ESOP program to go along with premium benefits that are top of the marketplace.

This role is brand new and will report to the CFO. Ideally the candidate is ok with a hybrid work schedule in center city Philadelphia. Position growth is a huge factor in this role as you will be given direct mentorship at the C suite level in the business.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage the General Ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other regulatory filings. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance. Manage and oversee the company's fixed assets, including recording acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, as well as regular reconciliations and physical inventories. Ensure compliance with lease accounting standards (ASC 842), maintain lease schedules, and calculate right of use asset amortization.

Required Attributes:

The ideal candidate will have 4–7 years of accounting experience, including a background in public accounting. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective management of fixed assets and lease accounting. This role requires a strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Attributes: Experience with ERP Systems such as Deltek, BST or other Professional Services Systems. Familiarity with tax compliance and regulatory reporting requirements. Demonstrate ability to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
