Process Engineer
- Injection Molding Operation
Full-Time
Edinburgh, IN Responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes within the injection molding department. This role drives safety initiatives, continuous improvement, quality control standards, and supports engineering and process technicians. Focused on optimizing operations and reducing costs.
Process Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and support to process engineers, technicians, and production staff
Develop and maintain efficient injection molding processes and manufacturing methods
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, out-of-control processes, and quality discrepancies
Apply root cause analysis to resolve technical problems
Collect and analyze data to guide improvements in quality, scrap reduction, cycle time, and cost
Support standardization of equipment and procedures across the organization
Lead and support new mold launches and sampling activities
Utilize MES systems, Authentig, and remote maintenance tools
Serve as a knowledge resource for plant-wide systems (e.g., Oni, Motan)
Collaborate with vendors for equipment, services, and capital projects
Maintain and develop documentation, SOPs, and resources to support process functions
Partner with the Injection Molding Manager to develop employee training and growth plans
Provide on-site technical training for staff as needed
Assist in machine and equipment maintenance
Work cross-functionally with Maintenance, Tooling, Design Engineering, and Automation teams
Manage capital improvement projects including selection, justification, quoting, and installation within budget
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Process Engineer
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred; Associate Degree considered
Minimum 2 years of experience in injection molding process engineering, or 7+ years of hands-on experience with demonstrated aptitude
Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly across all levels of the organization
Adherence to company policies and performance standards
