The Opportunity
A leading children's hospital in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join its specialized pediatric cardiology team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to perform complex echocardiographic procedures in a collaborative, child-focused clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Perform transthoracic echocardiograms on neonates, infants, children, and adolescents
Assist with transesophageal and fetal echocardiography as needed
Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists to evaluate congenital and acquired heart conditions
Prepare pediatric patients and families for procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding
Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure timely exam reporting
Operate and maintain advanced pediatric ultrasound equipment

Certification as RDCS (PE specialty) through ARDMS or equivalent pediatric echocardiography credentials Minimum 1 year of pediatric echocardiography experience required (2+ years preferred) Current BLS certification Texas medical imaging license or eligibility to obtain Experience with congenital heart defects and pediatric anatomy strongly preferred Excellent communication skills and comfort working with children and families
