Job Description Salary: $30-32/HR About Us Smartland is a real estate investment and property management company based in Eastlake, OH. We manage two apartment complexes in Columbus, OH and need a seasoned technician to keep two properties running safely and smoothly.
About the Role Were looking for someone who never waits for the next work order but constantly spots and tackles maintenance issues, knowing theres always something that needs attention.
Youll be the go-to maintenance tech for these communities. Expect a mix of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and appliance work. Youll prep units between tenants, tackle daily repairs, and keep detailed records of what you do and the materials you use.
Day to Day You Will Prepare vacant apartments for new residents and complete move-out inspections Diagnose and repair maintenance requests quickly and correctly Fix plumbing issues from leaky faucets to clogged drains Troubleshoot electrical problems and replace fixtures or devices Patch drywall, paint, and handle minor carpentry projects Install or repair vinyl flooring and appliances Log all work and inventory in the maintenance system Flag larger projects and safety concerns to management
What You Bring 3+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience Solid skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair Ability to work without close supervision and close tickets on time Your own basic hand and power tools Reliable truck or van, valid drivers license, and proof of insurance Ability to pass a drug test and background check High school diploma or equivalent
