Shipping Clerk/ Material Handler Job Functions: Logistics/ Operations Industry: Aerospace Manufacturing **Location:**Indianapolis,
IN **Position Description:**The Shipping Clerk has the primary responsibility of confirming Morris Machine’s manufactured parts are conforming to customer requirements prior to shipment of parts. Responsibilities: Follow established housekeeping and safety practices to maintain the quality of the work environment under general supervision. Demonstrate the ability to log on to the main computer system, extract information, log time, enter inventory amount, and forward it to the next operation. Works under minimum supervision and guidance performing part inspection and shipment. Capable of reviewing customer purchase orders and recognizing counterfeit parts. In addition to recognition, the shipping manager shall notify the appropriate personnel and understand the method of segregation of parts. Communicate with the production and quality teams to address any quality issues that occur during the manufacturing process. Document non-conformance and assist in the determination of the root cause. Prepare all shipping documentation necessary for shipment of parts (i.e. Certification of Conformance, UPS/FedEx labels, address stickers, etc.). Create packaging instructions in accordance with internal and customer requirements. Qualifications: Attention to detail. Ability to work in a team environment, with strong communication skills. Certified Release Delegate preferred but not required. Capable of using manual inspection equipment (gauges, calipers, micrometers).
