We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Analyst with a strong background in Google Analytics and expertise in either Looker or BigQuery. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our data analysis and reporting efforts, helping us derive actionable insights from our data sources and presenting them in a visually compelling and understandable manner using Power BI. Responsibilities: Data Integration and Transformation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and sources. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including Google Analytics, into a structured format suitable for analysis in Power BI. Power BI Development: Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Create visually appealing and interactive data visualizations to convey complex information effectively. Implement data modeling techniques, including relationships, measures, and calculated columns. Google Analytics Expertise: Utilize Google Analytics to track website and app performance, user behavior, and conversions. Generate custom reports and segments in Google Analytics to gather relevant data for analysis. Looker/BigQuery Expertise (Choose one): If Looker: Build LookML models to create a semantic layer for data exploration and visualization. Create and maintain Looker dashboards and explore data using Looker Explore. If BigQuery: Query data in BigQuery using SQL for complex data analysis. Develop and optimize BigQuery queries and workflows for data retrieval and transformation. Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze data trends, patterns, and anomalies to identify opportunities and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to guide decision-making processes within the organization. Collaboration: Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical team members. Documentation: Document data sources, data transformations, and report/dashboard development processes. Maintain up-to-date documentation for data-related workflows. Quality Assurance: Perform data quality checks and validation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and dashboards. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics). • Proven experience as a Power BI Analyst or similar role. • Strong proficiency in Power BI and data visualization best practices. • Expertise in Google Analytics and its implementation. • Proficiency in SQL, particularly if working with BigQuery. • Experience with Looker or BigQuery, depending on the chosen specialization. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes is a plus.
